Microbiota: feeding the ecosystem
Video in Spanish · subtitles available
What if, instead of adding bacteria with probiotics, we learned to feed the microbiota we already have? I explain in this video why fiber and dietary diversity matter so much.
Faced with any intestinal problem, the automatic recommendation is usually "take probiotics." In this video I invite you to flip the approach: before adding bacteria, let's ask ourselves how we are feeding the ones that already live in our gut. We talk about why the intestinal ecosystem is too complex to reduce to a few capsules, why probiotics can be useful but are not universal, and about the importance of fiber, dietary diversity, and prebiotics for taking care of the microbiota we already have.
